Sick Day Care
Are you sick at home and need someone to care for you? Perhaps you are single or your family is away. Get excellent and compassionate care.
Some of the care include:
Assistance with bathing and grooming,
Picking up prescriptions and giving them,
meals and feeding, tucking you in,
monitoring your temperature and other vital signs,
seeking expert care if you need a higher level of care. (Eg: if you need to go to the ER, I call to notify and give advance information. This allows me to also find out the ER color code so I’m not sending you to an ER that is on Red alert).
(For unknown clients, 2 people show up for safety/security reasons. Hence, the extra amount. It also involves getting another person to drop what they're doing to show up if they're not on call.)
EKG in home or Office
If you've had a telemedicine visit where you are being asked to come in for an EKG, You can have a 12-lead EKG done at home or in the office and sent to your doctors office securely.
EKG can be done in home or in the office
A registered nurse comes with equipment and performs the EKG.
EKG can be sent to doctor right away securely.
If being done in an office, must have at least a recliner (couch is preferable or a place where you can lay supine)
Free BP check and pulse ox before and after EKG
(if you are having chest pain, difficulty breathing, please call 911.
Please note: If EKG is not ordered by a doctor, please know that I am not a cardiologist. I can tell if you have things like ST segment elevation, Tall peaked T-waves, and other attributes and tell you what they can indicate but for items where different electrolytes, Hs and Ts can be at the cause, I'll defer to a specialist. )
EKG FAQ
How do I request this service?
You can simply call us to request this service. Your doctor's office can also call us to request the EKG. If the office calls directly, we can get the information needed to send the report back to them. If you do, please get a fax or email that we can use to send the report.
How is the report sent to the doctor's office?
Reports are printed for you and a copy scanned and either faxed to your doctor's office or sent via secure email.
When can I request your service?
This service is not for emergencies. If your doctor wants you to get a 12-lead EKG and you don't want to go into the office, we can come do it at your home or office. If you have skipped beats that you've experienced and want to capture for your doctor, we can do the EKG for you. If we are also caring for you and your doctor orders the EKG, it can be done for a nominal fee.
Do you check Vital signs before or after EKG?
Yes. This can be done in addition at no extra charge. You can simply request it and your nurse may also ask if you want that done.
How do you protect my privacy?
Discretion is hallmark of A Nurse In Need Concierge. We follow HIPAA, State and Federal guidelines in maintaining your privacy and confidentiality.
How do you take Payment?
Payment is due at time of service. It can be paid with Zelle, cash, check or credit card.
Can I call for an EKG when having chest pain?
Please call 911.
While your nurse carries an AED and is an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider, it is to primarily intervene when already with a patient. EMS can get to you a lot faster if you are having chest pain or SOB. Please dial 911.
